Fantastic weekend

My weekend was busy with, work, homework, errands, chores, and socializing.
It was fantastic though! Nothing to worry about it.
I got to go on a fun date with boyfriend skating and laser tagging, and to dinner.
I had 2 meals outside with friends. Very Very fun. I made Hilary and Jerry breakfast saturday, we ate it outside in our little patio. Sunday Jerry made us dinner, and we ate it outside in his backyard.

1. My accordion
2. The Odyssey rehearsals starting
3. Seeing how light my class schedule will be next semester (12 hours? WHAT???)
4. Girlfriend making me pizza at crazy hours
5. The proximity of Spring Break (and the chance to maybe take some flying lessons with my dad)

Five things that are currently making me extremely happy.

1. Talking to my wonderful Aunt Rachel today for an hour.
2. The smell of rain this afternoon.
3. My lunch of lemon sauteed asparagus, rosmary butter roasted potatoes, and chickpeas.
4. The roses Jeff got me for valentines day.
5. My packing list for Europe, its how I am focusing my excitement!

time flys

Most days seems to go by in a haze. I am usually very busy with class, work, homework, chores, working out, etc. Usually even the weekend days go by quickly, on the rare occasion that I have not a lot to do, they still seem to fly by. Thankfully today crept by, nice and slow. I kept looking at the time thinking it was 3 or 4 hours ahead of where it actually was. I was up a little before seven, and now I am in bed exhausted from a long long long day.

I have NEVER really been the one to do homework on a Friday or Saturday night. If I don't have plans, I find some. If I stay in, I have boyfriend over or break out my talent of movie watching. Yes, I have made this into a talent.

But Friday night I found myself wanting to get my graphic design project out of the way. To make it fun, I did it by candlelight. Buddy seemed to enjoy having me all to her self. She could not stop licking my feet. She set up shop laying next to me and licked me when she had the urge to show she loved me.

I really do not mind at all getting up early. I dread getting out of bed when its freezing in my room. For some reason my room is significantly colder than the rest of the upstairs. Having a happy bunny greet me, does make things much better. Buddy gets so happy when she sees me get out of bed in the morning. She likes to run over and start giving my feet kisses the second they touch the ground. She enjoys following me around and kissing my toes and feet, and standing up to look up at me. I am not sure why she does this. Normally I step on or kick her since she follows me so closely and I forget she is down there. Today she got so excited when I sat down to tie my shoes I had to stop and move her, because she kept putting her head right in the middle of my lace tying.

The little Carney kiddies get so excited whenever I come over. When I babysit they wait at the window for me and run out to the car when I get there. Before today I hadn't seen them in a few weeks, and they had eyes for no one but me. I couldn't get away to get a drink, socialize with my mi casa friends, or eat dinner. Roy would tell me NO! I couldn't leave, and pout. Lilli kept giving me kisses and hugs, she couldn't get enough of me.
It's so nice to see such excitement and affection. They are really too sweet!

Snow day

I had my first ever snow day on Friday. It was awesome. The 2-3 inches of snow was beautiful! My day consisted with Jeff coming over to walk around in the snow at 7:30 am, taking pictures, having a fun waffle breakfast, Watching some tv, taking a nap, getting a smoothie, taking another nap, going out to dinner at Elite with Jeff, then to see Blue Valentine. successful day.

I have become rather accustomed to snow days, I am keeping my fingers crossed for one on wed. ;)

Surgery

My little guy needed surgery early this week to remove his eye. It was dying from the inside out, and he couldn't see out of it and was in lots of pain.

I do not get to get him back for another 2 weeks. It has been 4 days and Buddy and I miss him terribly. But its best for him to be close to the vet, and not deal with the stress of traveling. I feel bad I cant be there for him, but I'll get him after his stitches come out.
