Mi Casa

Ryan, Conner, and Jacob all go to the same Mi Casa on tuesday nights. So Ben and I decided to start having our own Mi Casa, and Ben's place. It has really bonded us. We normally talk, drink tea, and watch a movie.
Last night's Mi Casa was exceptional. We made dinner, had Kristyn over, and talked about religion. It was a perfect last Mi Casa for us.
Hopefully next semester we can do it again, or join a real Mi Casa group.

first double digit run

Saturday was my first double digit run ever! I am so proud of myself, actually I have never been prouder of myself.
The run itself was fantastic! 5:30 in the morning, 55 degrees, rain...perfect running weather.

My history of running:
The first 9 years of my life it was something I did during playing, or as a mode of transportation.
The next 6 years it was something I did because my parents and cross country and track coaches made me.
The next 5 years it was something that was part of soccer practice and games. But normally I avoided doing at all costs, or tried it on the rare occasion.
The past few months I have been determined through countless side cramps, leg cramps, charlie horses, and breathless workouts to try my hardest for once to be decent at running. This was one of the few things in my life I have always wanted to be good at but never have. I was so determined to be good at. I have worked hard at it, and now I am somewhat decent.
Now I am at the point, only crazy people like my brother are at, where I enjoy it. My body was so tired and sore from the 10 miles, but yesterday something deep down in me wanted to run again. Today all I could think about was getting out of class so I could go for a run.

...something is wrong with me, I am starting to become that crazy runner type. I can say I love it.

Hello Dolly!

]

I love musicals, always have, always will.
I remember Hello Dolly being of the handful of movies we had in Switzerland, and I did really like it as a kid. I was wanting to watch it super bad, so the other day I bought that (and Shakespeare in Love) on itunes.
Anyways, it is a darling movie! Barbara Striesand is phenomenal! She is such a fantastic singer. Michael Crawford is hilarious. He is so awkward, and silly and makes Cornelius a lovable character.

Being a good mom (to buddy) and a good friend, but bad student

So I have been a better mom (to my darling rabbit) and a better friend than I have been a student in the past few weeks.
I need to change this, at least the student part. I work hard, but I don't work to the point where I stress myself out. Someone very wise told me to not worry about grades but really learning the material. I took this to heart. And I am learning in all of my classes, and not worrying about knowing in well enough to make an A on the next test. Hopefully next semster I work harder, which I sure will be the case because I won't have four science classes, and classes that actually interest me.
Buddy is not the ordinary rabbit. She has become extremely attached and affectionate to me. I read somewhere that rabbits are social animals and make friends for life. (As I am typing this Bud is sprinting and jumping around my room, apartment, and bed as fast as she can) I now leave her out of her cage whenever I am home, and sometimes when I am not. This includes night time, which would not be a problem if she now thinks my bed is hers. She sleeps next to me, but when she is not sleeping she enjoys chewing on my hair, licking my face, ears, neck, digging and rearranging my blankets, jumping on my tummy to alternate sides of the bed (this can last for 10 min straight, with no break). Anyways, I love her very much, but she does not leave me alone, she just follows me everywhere, and tried to play when I do hw in bed.
My new favorite person is Caitlin! We had dinner, and I adore her! She is the coolest, and most awesomest person ever!
Also church was good, it was fun to hang out with everyone . =) Last Hub of the semester, and we roasted marshmellows!

I spent all morning playing housewife

I spent the morning grocery shopping and cooking. It's a good way to spend any morning.
I also spent it watching the latest episode of Desperate Housewives. One of my favorite shows! =)

ps. everyone thinks Desperate Housewives is a terrible show, but it is really good. I used to think it was just about skanky, bored, rich housewives; but it has some good values in it, and it is hilarious. I know the show is way to dramatic, and cheesy but it is entertaining and i really love the characters. Lynette and Gabby are my favorites! They are the two strongest wives and really love their family, they will stick up for them and not take crap from anyone. If you have time, you should watch it.

A perfect morning to the end of a good week

The last two hours of my night time sleep consisted of on and off snuggling with Buddy and on and off dozing off.  She gets so snuggly in the morning! And I absolutely love it!
Then I ate my hearty English breakfast on the floor with her as she ate hers. Can't get enough good quality time with Bud Bud!
Got a good parking spot on campus!
Found out Angels and Airwaves is coming out with a movie!

GOod morning. =)

I like to make myself believe, that planet earth turns slowly.

Nothing better than a day filled with the song "Fireflies" by Owl City, feasting on cupcakes from Common Grounds, and thinking way too indepthly about Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Ernest.

I'd like to get a thousand hugs from ten thousand lighting bugs, As they tried to teach me how to dance.

Raspberries and Fear and Loathing

Had a delicious dessert, while watching one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time.

Fantastic night, to a fantastic day (I skipped my one class I had today).

The Marshmallow test

I loved and will always love marshmallows! I remember when I was a kid and we brought back marshmallows from American and for dessert my mom let us had three. They were the biggest treat in the entire world! We would sometimes squish them together in our fingers and make "taffy" which was also good. But the fluffliness of the marshmallow is such a key point in its deliciousness. I feel like if I was part of this test, I'd be the kid eating it when she is still talking to me.

A successful night! We had so much fun! It was nice to be on a team again, and cheer for each other! I was the anchor and it was a fabulous time!

This week....

This week has seemed crazy but it has some pretty monumental life changing decisions. I am no longer a Nutrition major, I am a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography. No idea if I will stay Photography or switch to Painting, either way I am now looking forward to the rest of my school, not in dread like I was when I was a Nutrition major, looking forward to my future of chem and bio.

Bear Downs is tonight!

I like to see that Buddy has realized she needed to have some incentive in her life. Today her tasks inculded moving her boxes around our room, and making a load of noise while doing it. She is still working on her blanket project in the living room. I am very unsure of what she wants to accomplish by that.

Also I bought myself an orchid. The water instructions are three ice cubes once a week. I think I can keep this guy alive!

Romans 13:8

"Do not owe people anything, except always owe love to each other..."

There can never be enough love in this world, and we can never love each other too much. I like to think Love is the real true message of "Christianity". I hate saying what I believe is a religion, because there is such a  negative connotation to religion, and I hate religion. But my faith is based on Jesus' Love, and if he lives in us His divine Love is in us and can flow out of us to others. Loving Him and others is why I was put on this earth, and what I strive for everyday, even though sometimes I fail.

BU Homecoming

I realized I had some Homecoming pictures on my camera that needed posting. The bonfire was not as impressive as last year's, but the fireworks were amazing and unexpected! I didn't really go to the Parade or the game, and I was barely at the bonfire. We just had more important things to do this year I guess...
