Last two classes of the semester

I had my last yoga and spin class of the semester today. Both were surrounded by fun circumstances. Yoga is at 8:30. I am required to be there 15 min early, so 8:15. My alarm did not go off and I woke up at 8:09. I had a double take to look at the time and jumped out of bed ran around my room for 2 min throwing clothes around looking for something to wear, a hair tie and my ipod. Buddy was sitting in her cage watching me. I ran out the door and got to my car at 8:12, I parked at 8:15 and ran into the slc and signed in by 8:17. Crazy morning, but a fun and exciting way to start the day.

My noon spin class had 10 people in it! Everyone came in at the last second or a little late. The class worked very very hard and after the class two of the 3 guys that came (guys coming is a big deal, guys never come) told me they had come earlier in the week but what they did then was nothing compared to my class. They said I did a great job, it killed them, and they loved it. Its great to hear when girls like my class, but guys are so much tougher and more competitive so they try harder, and when they tell me my class was hard it makes me feel really great and super tough. =)

A great way to end my fall semester of classes.

Game night

Team Granola: Jeff, Carney, Lilly (later replaced by Allison), and me. We won game night at Mi casa! It was a great night. A fantastic pick me up from a long and kinda stressful day. I am hoping there are more of those in the future.

My Sistine Chapel

I have 3 fabric projects, 2 photo portfolios- with 10 photos each and mats for them, one 6 page paper, one 14 page paper, and 2 paintings. I am tired of standing, my back hurts, my eyes hurt, my head hurts, my feet hurt... it all hurts, I have reached a point where I am so used to being tired and not resting I feel fine. Once I get through the next maybe 3 or 4 days and finish it all its smooth sailing for the rest of the semester. I have been going non stop since 8 am Friday morning...I am a champ. Go me go!

Classic Mashnouk Foods

My mom grew up eating certain foods that seem in my head to be strictly Mashnouk. Some examples of classic Mashnouk foods would be: cheese toast, farina, cinnamon toast, peas and macaroni, broccoli and macaroni, pasta fagioli, rice soup, and pita bread sandwiches. I used to not be so crazy about any of them, but now macaroni and broccoli is a becoming a favorite of mine. And farina is a great breakfast on a cold day.
Thanks Mashnouks.

It's pretty humbling...

doing the same project over 4 times. it wasn't even a real project, just a stupid technical project. Thankfully I wasn't the only one who kept messing up, a lot of people's film was acting up. I am debating on not even counting up the number of hours that equaled to nothing...But here it goes, 1 hour Friday, 5 hours Saturday, and 3 hours today...all to do one project over and over. And my other project that the same teacher assigned for the same class...as if we have nothing to do but photos, also did not come out so another 2 hours on Saturday wasted. I feel like I went backwards in time this weekend because Nothing was accomplished Saturday.

Sneak Date

Jeff and I have both been very very busy, which is sort of nice since neither one of us is always free and asking to hang out. We are just both busy so we hang out when we can. We sort of snuck in a dinner date tonight. It was short but sweet. Jeff ordered Jimmy Johns to deliver to the art building and he brought it into the painting studio and I took a break as we ate our dinner in front of my painting. It was perfect. I had starving and had not really been home to get food. And it was a nice little painting break. He is the greatest. Thanks for dinner boyfriend!

My Weekend

Okay to start out my weekend. I started Thursday, by having one photo shoot and developing one set of film. (about 3 hours of work to lessen my load on the weekend) Friday, I did Italian homework, I got a new ID and shoot more film, made myself eggplant parm(I got a double yolk in one of my eggs, it was the high point of the day), and spaghetti, then developed the film, and made 5 prints. I stayed up late....like until midnight, oh and Makenzie was there with me for most of the time. Saturday I was up early, around 7. I took the bunnies out to play. I got to the art building at 8, and did even more printing. I took a break to teach some yoga, and then back to finish developing my prints. Jeff and I made some pancakes, and then my parents came. I showed them around the art building and then went to panera for lunch. =) I then headed to the Library (all by myself) to find sources for my Art history paper. The poor girl at the desk got frustrated with me, because I did not really know what is meant when a teacher says they put books on reserve. I thought I could just look at them quickly, but since i left my ID and drivers license somewhere I could not look at them. I ended up going on a computer and printing out some really good articles. Then I was off to paint for a while. After painting I came back home, read my articles and wrote my perspectus for my paper. Makenzie came over and we made popcorn, and cookies, and watched Bridesmaids. This morning I slept until 8:45!! Very late for me. I took the buns out, ate bfast, dilly dallied on the computer for a while, went to church, Jacob and Rob and I went out to Clay Pot for lunch. Jacob ate more than I have ever seen him eat before. He even out ate me and Robbie. I came home and napped until the three of us met up again for Johnny English. Very Very funny! After that, I ran to the grocery store, literally threw my groceries in the fridge, grabbed my ipod and shoes and ran to teach spin. After I cooked up all my veggies, and beans, and quinoa for the week. I did not really eat a lot last week, I was too busy to make myself food, so I just ate a lot of rasins, and cereal. Now I am in bed, finishing up my relaxing day. Getting prepared for the week.

I gave myself an A+ for the weekend. Well maybe an A since I didn't get to see Jeff a lot. But he was busy, so nothing I could really do, So I regive myself the A+

buddy the trailblazer

Both buns were so happy to be outside today, since they missed their outside time Sat and Sun cuz we were down in Austin. Buddy likes to go in the deep weeds, that have been growing Very tall since it has cooled down, and we got rain like twice. But anyways, she hops into them, and she starts biting the weeds near their base, so of hacking a trail for herself. You can see it in one of the pictures. Robbie was out there too, enough though he is a stinker first thing in the morning and very reluctant to come out from under the bed. They both have such a great time outside, you would think they would know what was coming. And then there's my oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast.

things I am currently obsessed with

-Greek God Greek Yogurt. The Honey Strawberry flavor is my favorite. Although the Vanilla with a touch of orange and cinnamon is extremely good too. With almonds and or Nature Path's organic Flax and Pumpkin Granola.
-Fitsugar website. http://www.fitsugar.com/ I like websites that I can easily find new workouts that are super effective. Or just fun to browse around.
-The Fitnessista blog http://fitnessista.com/, this girl is like me. Teaching a zillion classes a week, and loves eating healthy. She posts recipes, photo of her meals (great ideas), and some of the hardest workouts I have found online.
-Dr McDougall's instant cup of soup. Tomato Basil Pasta soup, and Black bean and Lime. They are like SUPER easy, quick lunch, even for someone like me who doesn't have time to wash my hair during the school week. And they are good.
-Fun sized candy for Halloween. I have a stash in my locker and have three pieces a day. I have a lot of different kinds so I can have junior mints, gummy bears, milky ways, 100 grands, and peanut mms. =) but just a little of each.

Things I wish I could do well

I wish I could sing well. Sometimes I listen to my Glee songs, and wish I had a voice like Lea Michele.
I wish I could dance ballet. Not only is ballet beautiful, but the dancers carry themselves differently than regular people. They are also very very flexible, something I have never been very.

end of berry season

I am declaring it the end of summer fruit season. I have gotten some pretty watery, tasteless strawberries the past two weeks. This morning they were just as bland.
After my yummy breakfast I went out running with thousands of Austonians. It was so nice.

dinner on the balcony

I am down in Austin yet again, celebrating my Fall break. It's just really relaxing down here. I go to whole foods about twice a day. =) which makes me very happy. I went for a late afternoon run, and when I got back I did weights. I then walked to Whole foods to get dinner. I got an avocado, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomato, artichoke, lettuce, and provolone sandwich on chiabatta bread and toasted. I brought it home and ate it outside sitting our our porch looking out at the city. It was pretty, and peaceful.

wednesday night date night

Jeff and I decided to go on a date Wednesday, because he did not have rehearsal, and I felt confident that I did not want to stay in and study for my Michelangelo test. (which I think I killed big time) I got out of class late, like I usually do. So we didn't have dinner, and just went to a late movie at the dollar theatre. We saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It was great! I bought big candy bars awhile ago when they were on sale, and we ate some, which was also very fun. All in all, a great night. I love my boyfriend.

This picture was from yesterday when I noticed that we were completely un-intentially matching!

favorite part of the day

I didn't blog a lot last year, because it took everything I had just to stay sane. Now I just do not have time. Last week I was so busy I didnt wash my hair all week. I just did not have an hour to spare to dry and straighten it. My favorite part of my week, is usually monday and Wed morning when I can take the buns outside to run around. Its so fun, they really love it. Maybe because it's been getting cooler in the mornings, maybe because its when I have nothing to stress about getting done, maybe its because I am still sleepy and the happy bunny jumps seem even more hilarious than usual.

weekend in Austin

I spent the weekend, doing homework, watching rain, playing with the buns, going to whole foods, taking a bubble bath, and eating good stuff!

I spent most of my time doing homework and looking out at the Austin skyline.

Post birthday week blues

Last weekend was busy, very busy. I am a big fan of a one day a week were you don't do any work and just give your body all the rest it needs. That day is usually Sunday. Last week I did not get to do it, I had tons and tons and tons of projects, and studying, and homework. A combination of not resting, and not getting all my work done stressed me out big time in the start of this week. But a turning point of less stress was mi casa. It was just so fun. I love my mi casa time, I can hang with friends and not worry about getting home. It's really great. The rest of the week went by smoothly, I did not do all my homework, but at least it went by stress free.

I am heading up to homestead with Robbie to eat and take some more pictures. Then I am spending the rest of the day in the dark room...most likely, hopefully I will get done fairly quickly.

22!!!!

I turned 22 yesterday! It was awesome, this whole week has been awesome. I celebrate the whole week of my birthday, not just my day. I got two gorgeous bouquets. One from Dad one from Jeff. =) It's just been an awesome week, tonight I get to have brother/roommate/roommate brother hang out time.

I will try to post more since I have been super busy, basically not counting homework I am in class and work around 40 hours a week....wowza.

Chris and Maria's California adventures

I went home the first week of Aug because my favorite little cousin Chris was coming to visit. And Aunt Rosie and Uncle Bob do not like that much activity. As a 12 year old, Chris needs lots of activities and adventures. I got home late sunday night and my little monkey was already asleep, so we started logging our adventures Monday morning at 7. My Aunt wanted play by play accounts of what we did. So here it is.

Monday, August 1, 2011:
Woke up around 7
Aunt Rosie tried passing Multigrain cheerios off as "fun cereal"
Chris and Maria go to the store to pick up real "fun cereal"
Maria complains about paying $6 for a box of lucky charms
Chris gets Reeses Puffs, Maria gets Lucky charms
Ate cereal outside in the backyard. It was pretty cold.
Went to Sycamore Grove to roller blade and scoot. Brought Toby as well. It got warm while we were there. Maria showed Chris all the cool trees.
Came home, Maria took a shower and washed her hair in the soft california water. Chris complained Maria took an hour to shower, and do her hair.
Got Jamba juice: Chris got Strawberry Surf-rider, Maria got Peach perfection
Visited Uncle Bob's work, Edward was not there, but Maria still left him his present
Went to IN-N_Out for lunch with Uncle Bob, Chris got a cheese burger and a shake, Uncle Bob and Maria got grilled cheeses, everyone got fries! We ate outside in the sun.
Chris and Maria went to paint ceramics. Chris painted a mug for mom and dad, Maria painted a mug for boyfriend.
Maria was very tired by that point, so we went back to Jamba Juice to get Mocha Marvels- a type of hot coffee drink
We went home to recover and snack quickly, then off again very quickly
We went to go play laser tag. We got 2 games. The first game we played with two other girls who ganged up against us, but we did not have teams, so a little unfair. Chris beat Maria in the first game. Second game it was just Chris and Maria and it was the funnest part of the whole trip, since we got to run around and yell. Maria beat Chris.
Mini gold there was too expensive so we went next door to the driving range.
We got one bucket of balls and some clubs and went nuts.
Once we ran out, the instructor, who thought Maria was cute, offered them two more full buckets of balls.
Towards the end, our arms and hands were hurting. Chris got a blister and then popped it when he hit his second to last ball.
Chris hit the balls with a hockey swing, Maria had taken golf lessons before and was fairly good, even though we both missed a lot of balls.
We went back home, and were given things to get for dinner.
So we turned around and left to go to Trader Joe's. Maria stocked up big time on flattened bananas.
We got home and started to cook up the veggies for the pizzas while Uncle Bob and Aunt Rose went to Pilates.
Chris made fun of the hummas, and freaked out because of the mushrooms. We fried the pita bread with hummas on it, and then Chris liked it. We played with Toby and joked about how the mushrooms and everything they touched were contaminated.
When the pizzas were cooking we went out to the garden and picked strawberries.
Geneva and Emily came over for some pizza which we ate in the backyard. We chatted, told them about our day, and caught up since we hadn't talked since Christmas.
We had chocolate covered marshmallows for dessert.
We watched Shark week, Chris fell asleep, and the girls chit chatted.
Once the girls left, Maria could not wake up Chris. He is a very sound sleeper.
Finally after lots of shaking Chris woke up, and we went to bed.

Tuesday, August 2, 2011:
Woke up around 7 again.
Maria made Chris scrambled eggs, veggie sausage, and cinnamon buns. Chris helped cut up the cantaloupe, after Maria taught him to right way to cut.
We ate breakfast sitting on the roof. It was kind of cold outside.
We got ready for the day, and packed some snacks and extra clothes. We did not tell Chris where we were going.
We drove to the airport in our town.
We got on a private plane and flew down to the beach.
We had to wait for the rental car guy to come pick us up, so Chris and Maria walked around the airport, and poked the sleeping cat that had a lion head. Chris poked a cricket that jumped at Maria's leg.
We drove to the beach, we saw cows and zebras on our way there.
Chris invented Superwater, which was Maria's spicy water with the label as a cape.
We walked on the beach and picked up rocks.
We had lunch next to the beach, outside yet again, Chris got a BLTA- minus the A, and Maria and Aunt Rose had the Avocado. Maria had minestrone, and some veggie pasta.
We went to another beach, Chris and Maria went exploring, played with the "rat tails" and laid on the rocks, looking at the ocean. We saw some seals far off, but also swimming through the water as we left. Chris got tar on his hands, and a splinter walking back to the car. We saw some friendly squirrels who came right up to Chris.
We drove back to the airport and started writing this list.
Maria cleaned the tar off Chris's fingers while Chris ate M&M's.
Maria told Chris he owes her an ice cream for cleaning his fingers.
There was an ice cream argument.
We stopped to get coffee and water, we played with the trivial pursuit cards.
We flew back, Chris got to fly in the cock pit and fell asleep.
We got back to the house.
Chris got his part of his splinter out. We changed and went to Baja Fresh for some good burritos and drinks, Chris mixed all the soda's together, and Maria got sweet tea.
We had to eat in the car on the way to the movies. Chris did not eat his burrito correctly, and instead balled it up. Chris got super hot salsa, and we snuck our chips and salsa into the movies. Chris said he needed water since we couldn't bring his Baja Fresh drink in.
We met up with Shalan, and watch Cowboys & Aliens and ate our chips and salsa. It was a good movie but very hard to stay awake, since we were so tired from the long day.
We went home after and went right to bed.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011:
Woke up and talked to Aunt Rachel and Julia on the phone.
Chris cut cantelope again, Maria made more cinnamon buns, and some cinnamon rasin toast.
We ate breakfast in the backyard.
We had to get gas, and Chris learned how to clean the windows, he also attempted to clean the car.
We went to Del Valle for a hike with Toby. We climbed a tree, took pictures, threw rocks in the lake which would splash loudly and scare Toby, went in the lake, got chased by some cows, and picked a pretty flower. Toby rolled around in the dirt, went in the lake, barked at a cow that didn't move, got scared by Maria and Chris throwing rocks in the lake. Once we turned around to go back we made it back to the car in 22 min. The flower we picked we tried to put in Toby's collar, and he shook it out, then we tried putting it in the water bottle, but it still died.
We dropped Toby off at home, and went out for more Jamba Juice.
Chris wanted all the boosts in his smoothie, Maria said no.
Chris got Peach pleasure with antioxidant boost, Maria got Banana berry with a protein boost.
Chris turned the car into a sauna while we drove to the ice skating rink. We fought about that.
The skating rink was closed, so we went to lunch at Tomatina's. They took forever with our lunch, so we played the games on the kids menu- word scramble, and word search. We split some delicious pizza, and a hummas piadine.
We went bowling, we played with bumpers. Chris won the first game by one point. And the second game we are pretty sure Maria won, because she got a lot of strikes and spares, but our computer stopped working so we kept our own score.
We ran to the store really quick, to get Chris some body wash and shampoo and to get Maria some medicine.
Maria got a bruise on her arm from Chris playing skittle with her.
We went home, took showers.
Talked ipods.
We ate some ice cream sandwiches, Chris told Maria she had to eat two....one was very filling already.
We got the rest of Chris's splinter out!
Chris pulled off the rest of his blister skin.
Drove Maria to airport, Aunt Rose and Chris dropped Maria off, but she called us after she got her ticket because her flight was later than we thought, so we went to a Denny's and had some english muffins and tea.
Then sadly we saw Maria off for a few days, till she came to Ocean City.

jewelry

Ever since taking jewelry class I have been noticing and appreciating jewelry more. I even asked Ben to look at his ring, which looked exactly like what we made, except with a longhorn on it. I was reading an article about my brother running in high school and an add for organic bands came up. This guy makes some really neat jewelry, but also very expensive jewelry. http://www.handmadeweddings.net/ That's his website, its about weddings, but his fine jewelry is gorgeous. Especially the tennis necklace. I wish there was a jewelry 2 class I could take next summer. =)

friends

I started thinking the other day that there have been a very few constant friends in my life. Geneva and Shalan are really my longest running friends. All sorts of things happened between my other friends and me keeping us from staying in touch or staying friends. A lot of my friends I stopped being friends with because they and their definition of fun changed. I am the complete opposite of a party girl. I am a home body that likes going to bed early. I like watching movies, cooking my own meals, and doing out doors types of things. For most people this is not considered that much fun. In a few years I think I will be the stereotypical hippie that they make fun of in movies.
My college friends have pretty much been consistent since freshman year. Last year things took a toll on some of my relationships, and some of it was my fault I never wanted to go out, or more likely I had work or class at night...which really takes a toll on your social life. I have night classes and night work 4 days this semester, I hope I still can find at least one night to hang out with my less active friends. My active friends I have never had trouble staying connected since early mornings is when I am free and ready for walks or run, or whatever.
But I still want to make a more conscious effort to hang out with people besides Jeff, Erica, and my brother. I do not think I will have that much time seeing that I am in class and work around 36 hours a week.

pooptarts

I went down to see boyfriend last night and came back just now. It was great. We had missed each other a lot, and needed some boyfriend girlfriend time. We spent all day in our pj's cuddling and watching tv. It was fantastic.
When we had breakfast, I was making fun of Jeff for having poptarts (which I called poop tarts and almost died laughing) and not having the healthy cereal. He said he did not like healthy cereal, he liked the fun cereal. I thought this was silly and he should have the healthy grown up cereal. He said "excuse me, this is coming from the girl who has at least one banana split a day and sometimes a second frozen custard on vacation?!"

Touche Jeff.

trips

I took two quick trips. One back home to Cali, and one to Ocean City. lots of flying. I hate traveling, so all the flying and driving was pretty awful. But I will wait until I can upload pics next week, or maybe once I have time I will just type up what we did. =)

just one day at the beach

Yesterday was one of the most fun days I have had at the beach in a while, except for when Jeff was here. We have fun together.

But anyways the day started nice and early. Rob and I got up to go for a run while I rode my bike next to him. We did 8.5 miles. We got back ate some breakfast, Maria and I then went for a 2 mile walk to the end of the island where we found a sand bar and walked out to it. Then I went down to the beach with Robbie, and the little girls. Julia went boggie boarding and she would ride in and try to make it in between my legs. Then I showed Rob, Chris, Julia, and Dana the sand bar, another 2 mile walk. We swam around next to it. Rob and I then decided it was lunch and rode our bikes down to the boardwalk, another 10 miles. Pizza did not take credit cards so we got ice cream instead. When we got back Maria wanted to go for another 2 mile walk down to the end of the island. And finally we played ultimate frisbee for an hour or so. Aparrently I was very good, even Robbie said I was the best. I have never played before, but it was like soccer and diving in the sand was fun. Our team lost, but right when the game finished everyone ran over to the ocean and jumped right in. It was much colder than before but it felt so incredible, after being so sweaty. Then we had dinner, I had a little too much wine made me very sleepy, but I still insisted we go out for ice cream again.

great day.

waiting by the window

I was so excited for Erica to get home today. Every time I would get up I would go look out our kitchen window, hoping I would see her car.
This reminded me of when I was a kid and we would go to Ocean City in the summers. Our family would usually get there the night before the rest of our family got there. Saturday mornings is when everyone else would come, I would usually sit at the kitchen table with a view of Central Ave and color in the old coloring books we had there. I would get so excited to see everyone, I didn't want to go down to the beach and miss a second with them.

sweet old comments

I was missing Jeff, and thought I would read through some of our older comments before we were dating. I thought these were very cute.

New person

After being very sick, when I start feeling better I feel like an entirely different person. I had a pretty awful stomach flu the past 2-ish days. But woke up this morning and feel so much better. It was really bad, everytime I moved or got up really terrible stomach cramps would hit, so I laid in bed pretty much all day and night long. The first night when it hit, I was scared to sleep, since I did not want to wake up and feel terrible or run into the bathroom. So I just stayed up. Last night I got a good 8 hours thanks to some Benedryl.

Here's to feeling better! Huzzah!

Candy bar lineup

Katie, Cate, and I are hanging in my room watching Step Brothers. We started talking about what candybars we would choose to eat out of a candybar line up. I would choose: Milky Way Midnight, Milky Way, York, Peanut M&Ms, Three Musketeers, and Twix.

Comment with your choices.

Clint and Megean

My boss Clint married one of the cycling instructors Megan May 21st. I have seen them together only a handful of times since. Usually Megan taught after me, and Clint always came to her class. Very sweet, I know. But I saw them tonight at my boss's birthday party. Every time I see them they seem so happy and excited to be together. It's like the happiness radiates from them and you can just tell, they are so happy and so in love. It's great. They make a great couple, and its great to see them together. I haven't really known any other newly weds so I don't know how long the excitement lingers, but I hope it's very long.

oh man, I can't figure out how to post a picture of them. Shucks.

Exploding Pintos

OKay well Pinto is not exploding, but I did find my new little friend on the way home from the gym. He caught my eye flapping around on the ground. So I stopped my bike, and went over to look. Pinto let me touch him, and eventually he just hopped into my hand. I walked my bike home with Pinto in my other hand. He started making some sweet cooing chirping noises.
We now have him in a box under our coffee table and I just gave him some water and force fed him some mushy warmed up cereal...yumm.

The bunnies have been extremely wary of our new friend. They were a little unsure of what the chirping noises were. Now that they have peaked their heads in and seen what the heck the noises and weird smell was, they do not like Pinto. They see him as a threat. The like being my number 1. Since I let them out, they have not left my side while eating dinner, sprint over to me the second I go into my room and look up at me, as if saying "hey what about me". And while I was feeding Pinto they kept close watch and stuck their little heads under my arms, in the box, and gave me lots of kisses.

It's funny how much personality these little fellas have. And how jealous they are of my love.

Oddly enough Jeff has never seemed a threat to them. haha Maybe its because he is a human.

pros and cons list

I found this message I sent to Hunter, one of my best friends freshman year when I couldn't decide which school to go to.
Funny my senior year of high school priorities...

i need some help
i would go to robbie but since he really wants me to go to baylor he isnt so unbiased

so i have to decide between cal poly and baylor and i am not entirely in love with either, but heres the list i made of the good and bad things about both. can you tell me if the things i care about even matter or i should focus on something else/?

Cramps and hugs

I went down yesterday to see boyfriend because he had the afternoon and night off. He was so tired that we started our time together by taking a long nap. We had dinner with his parents, and then off to the movies. I started feeling crappy once we got there and I wasn't sure if it was having a large meal after not eating since breakfast. But it ended up being some pretty bad cramps. They died down a bit during the movie but after we got out and I stood up and walked around they came back with a vengeance. I didn't want to tell boyfriend in front of all his friends I want to go home, so I waited patiently. And when we got home I got some medicine in me. Jeff asked if there was anything he could do for me, and I asked him to lay down and watch hey arnold with me until the cramps died down. He did gladly, he hates when I don't feel good. He makes me so happy, even when I'm grumpy from cramps. After the first episode they were feeling better but not totally gone, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to fall asleep so we watched another episode. For as much as I hate cramps, I did love having my darling boy there to help me feel better. He's the best.

afternoon dip

I am loving summer with not much to do. Its the first summer since my junior year to not have 40+ hours of work a week. That summer I had to quit my nannying job because I broke my hand, and could do very few things by myself.
But I am loving having free, lazy afternoons to spend by the pool with a magazine and a drink.

birthday weekend

It was Jeff's 21st birthday this weekend. He had the day off so I went down to see him. I got to see camp, where he has spent the last 15 summers. I'm glad I got to see it, its like his version of my ocean city. I am glad we both got to share that with each other.
We went paddle boarding, sailing (I was the mermaid and sailed head first into all the waves), we went to the movies, ate popcorn and junior mints, and had a fun birthday party for him! It was good, I missed him so much. It was nice to see him again, kiss him again, and be in his arms again.

I have so much fun with him. I feel like even our usual movies dates are as fun as 100 bunnies. Especially when we go to a movie theatre where we can put up the arm rests and snuggle, and with popcorn and candy. SUCH a treat!

i get to see boyfriend today

I still get so very very excited to see Jeff. Especially when I haven't seen him in a while, like today, but also during the year just to run into him on campus or have him come over. Today I woke up and started singing and dancing to my song of "I get to see boyfriend today". I was just jumping with anticipation today to see him.

I still try hard to look my best if I haven't seen him in a while. I brush my teeth, wear nice clothes, make sure my hair is nice, give myself a facial and pedicure. I know I don't have to impress him, and he still loves me and thinks I am pretty even when he has seen me, sick, sad, cranky, unshowered, after a workout, tired, stressed, mad, and lazy. But I still like to wow him.

five things

I was busy this week with school and a bit of a scare with Robbie. His tummy stopped from too much fur in it, and he got hypothermia. Poor little one, we got his system going again. And he is back to his rascally self now. Thankfully I have all the meds to cover any emergency they have, and know what to do better than the vets.

I drove up to Frisco to get some more med from the bunny lady, in case we had another emergency. I stopped at whole foods for groceries and IN-N-Out for a grilled cheese, fries, and a chocolate shake. Now that Dallas has In-N-Out one of the few reasons that kept me going back to cali is gone.

I found some gorgeous rings on etsy. Once I feel like I've saved enough money....I just keep spending....I'll get the earrings and a ring for myself. To bad I can't make them myself. Etsy has been so helpful in jewelry class. We made earrings, two rings, and a bracelet this week.

I made myself a delicious pancake breakfast this morning as a reward for all my hard work. I spent from 2-11 in the art building yesterday.

I pulled the car over on mine and Erica's way home from church and ran out to pick some wild sunflowers. I got enough for the both of us. My bunch is keeping me happy on my nightstand. This morning I rolled over and the sun came in through my windows and hit the sunflowers. =)

The last thing is really two things. I am very happy to have gotten our playpen which is the new bun cage. Its so much bigger than their old one, its got enough room so they can chase each other, and stretch. I don't feel so bad leaving them in it all day. And we are all happy robbie is feeling better.

five things

Finding these earrings on etsy. My mom had a similar pair but in pink and she lost one. They are fake, but have been my favorite all my life. I want to buy them, once I feel like I have saved some money. Well really I found a few VERY nice things.

Erica is home and is watching 500 days with me. It's not the same at night without her.

My nice looking chain link bracelet that I MADE.. good job me.

The new cave litter box that the whole family loves! Robbie is in the picture you just can't see him. And Buddy is trying to steal a blueberry out of Rob's mouth.

Oreo Truffles....Katie made them for me. Darn her...I am addicted, it's all I've been eating all day. Erica said "no one likes anything as much as you like those truffles."
